Working on a 9.9 Suzuki oil injected motor. Both the oil fill cap and the oil sender cap leak oil. Both are made of rubber, but both fit fairly loose.

They both have several raised rings molded into the rubber as to help seal the cap.

When I fill the tank using the fill cap,it ozzes out around both the fill cap and the oil sender cap.I attempted yto place a o-ring around both caps but they just slide towards the top.

Is something missing that I am unaware of,or am I in need of new caps?

Re: Suzuki oil leak

I've replaced caps, used "M" around the sender, but what I usually end up doing is replacing the oil reservoir, which tends to warp at the openings. I have no idea why, since it certainly seems cool enough in there.
