91 yamaha 115 powerhead wont come off

trying to remove a friends power head from a '91 115 yamaha and need some help. is there a super secret bolt in the front side of the power head that i am missing. do i need to disco the shift linkage. the head just wont come off. i am removing it to replace the steering arm, or possibly re-inforce it. it has almost rusted through and needs some TLC. i have it up n the back, but it wont come up in the front, where the carbs are. thanks in advance.
