Does anyone know if Suzuki and Johnson both use the same (Fastrac) power trim units? I saw a Suzuki trim system and just eyeballing it in a picture it looks the same. Thanks

Re: Suzuki and Johnson power trim units

Johnson and Evinrude has used the "Fastrac" trim system made in Japan by a company called Showa since 1991. It is the same company that makes front suspensions for Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki adopted that trim style just a few years ago for many of their models.

Most of the internal hydraulic parts are different between engine brands and sizes.
