When i recieved the motor it did not have a prop on it.
I have purchased a prop and the repair shop sold me a spacer that goes on before the prop. I have two questions. It is a very tight fit. I havent gotten all the way on. I didnt want to force it. Is it usually difficult to put on? I am missing the cotter pin. Does the cotter pin engage the prop. If so why does the spacer have teeth? There is nothing to engage the spacer.

Thanks for all the help

Re: 84' 30 HP prop yamaha

Just spoke with shop. The spindle does not have teeth it is smooth and has two holes and a plastic nut with hole for cotter pin. Manual shows splined spindle. Plate on motor says yamaha 30AE 689 411090. Sticker says 30ELN. From what ive found this is a 1984. Any ideas to whats going on?

Thank you

Okay, maybe ive solved it. Does anyone know if a 77' lower unit would work with an 84' uper?
