I recently purchased a 15 ft sport boat with a 79 suzuki dt-50 outboard. I was told (and have verified) that it runs, but with the throttles closed, will immediately rev up sky high. I can physically see the butterflies on both throttles are closed. Am I correct in assuming that I must have an air leak somewhere past the carbs? Anyone had a similar experience, or should I just bite the bullet and reseal the whole power head? Any tips for diagnosing this issue? Thanks in advance for your help.
