130 HP yamaha runs ruff above idle speed

I was out in the boat last weekend and ran it for days with no problems hit a large wave hard at around 30 mph after that boat engine began to chatter in the water. engine will idle fine but when I try to give it gas it will no go any faster it just runs ruff and the RPMS go up any ideas?

Reply procedures are a bit tricky.
Check your spark plugs. I did a similar thing years ago and salt water must have come in through the exaust and fried the spark plugs.

Reply system seems to be working again. I can even read what I type. Replacing the plugs would be a first step. Also recheck your electrical connections at the battery and engine.
