1986 Suzuki 150 hp super six motor

Hi all , I have a quick question .. A guy is trying to sell me a boat with a 1986 Suzuki 150 hp super six motor . The boat is in decent shape but he says the rings in piston one blew . What kind of work are we looking at , how much , is this something I should steer clear of ? I would like to know thank you all very much Mike

It is quite a bit of a not fun job and might cost you a pretty penny, when a salesman tells you something with a "but" in the sentence you know there might be more wrong as what he tells you ... you don't know how that engine has been taken care of previously and can be costly in the long run .... good luck
