1993 Yamaha 250 HP Exel

Hello,<br />I am looking to purchase this engine from a dealer. The compression tests were done on a cold engine....and all cylinders were at 94-98psi. Are these numbers too low?<br /><br />thanks

Need a model number, The Excell was a 225 built during 1987-1989. It was a 2.6 liter engine. Those compression numbers would be very low for it. The 250 was a 3.1 liter motor and those numbers would be more in line for it.

Ray...it is a 1993 250 HP 3.1<br /><br />I'm glad the #'s sound good cause I just closed on it!
