Looking to buy a boat with this motor. Circa 2001, oil injected, looks like 3 carbs, tiller handle and manual start only. <br /><br />Guy says this motor has a 6 amp alternator ? Is this correct ? I will be wanting to use some of this current to charge two batteries a little...<br /><br />How well will this guy troll with a trolling plate ? I've had a Honda 4 stroke 25 HP and it trolled down real well, but I've heard 2 strokes don't do so well for sustained idling.<br /><br />I want to do a compression test. What psi should I look for ? (Considering the guy says he has only had the boat out about 3 times per year, and it does look flawless)<br /><br />He has used the boat in saltwater a few times and always rinsed. He says this motor has a stainless steel water pump so corrosion isn't an issue ?<br />The trailer shows some slight signs of rust, but I've seen far, far worse.
