I have a 1999 130 hp saltwater Yamaha that already has a water pressure gauge piped into the high side. Does it make any difference as to what side the temp sending unit is installed. I also have the two multifunction gauges installed and all the wiring neatly bundled away and I don't need to have it lighted so what are the minimum connections do I need to make for the temp gauge to function properly without having to pull all the wiring apart. Thanks.

Re: yamaha temp gauge installation and wiring

the water pressure taps into the port side of the block just fwd of the head top surface. the temp gauge goes into the stbd side of the block just fwd of the top of the head . you will need to run a wire from the sender to the S term on the gauge. yellow will go to the ign and black will be ground. the power and ground taps are in the harness with the rest of the gauges.
