I have been away for a bit with the new motor i have been spending more time fishing and less tiime in the back yard trying to fix a problem :)

my new motor has a 15 amp charging system and i was wondering if it would handle two battery's?

it would be a trolling battery and a cranking battery with a switch box in between so i could only use the trolling motor while fishing and then switch to both battery's while running to give the trolling motor battery a little boost from spot to spot.

i no-one see's a problem i was thinking of using 6 or 8 awg wire from the switch box to the trolling motor battery

the box would be installed close to the cranking battery and be about a 11' run to the other battery

will physically work, not well ,but it will work. just dont switch batteries when the engine is running. 15 amps is not much but I guess its better than nothing
