suzuki dt 30 charging and rev counter ?

hi my suzuki DT30 has electric start. but not sure how to rig it up for charging. i have been using it for ages on tiller and forgot what wires to rig up the charging. the engine is 1983 2 cylinder silver colour with blue decals. .or does a charge come back down the cables to battery.it used to be rigged for charging on my old cabin boat but that was 8 years ago. also i would like to set up a rev counter for this engine.what wires do i need to look for to do this.
