I am considering replacing my 1998 250 HP Yamahas with new 4 stroke 225 Yamahas. Will the current two stroke kit/gauges, controls etc work with the 4 stroke set up?

Re: Yamaha Rigging Kits

There have been many Yamaha tachs made over the years. If the tach has three dip switches inside it will work. The newest Lcd tack is what we always install it has the lastest warning built in for the fourstrokes. Oil and water. It has an hour meter built in too. If it has two dip switches or no dip switches it will not work. The 225 fourstroke is hard to get in the states right now. We have had some ordered for months. Big demand?

Thanks vinney
The only info I can see on the back of the tacho is a three way switch on the back marked 12P, 6P and 4P
Is this any good?
Do you know what it should be set to?
Cheers,
Yockman
