I have just done a lower unit installation on my Suzuki DF40 (2002 mod) after replaceing the impeller. Now I am uncertain if the gear linkage adjustment is right. When I push the throttle to 'forward' position' it is possible to turn the propeller clockwise by hand (same direction as the propeller would turn if the engine was running) but a "clicking" sound appears periodically. In the counter clockwise direction the movement is blocked (like a ratchet coupling).

When moving the throttle handle in reverse position it is not possible to turn the propeller either clockwise or counter clockwise (as expected).

Does this forward direction behaviour seems right?

Yes, that's normal.
