Df40 Suzuki

I installed a new throttle and transmission cable on my 2001 Suzuki DF40. now that i have replced them, i have to pull the trottle back until it almost goes into reverse to get it to go into neutral, then i have to push it back foward to click it into the neutral detent. any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Not properly adjusted, Capt.<br /><br />What instructions did you use when installing and adjusting the cables?<br /><br />I suggest Suzuki publication # 99513-03920, Remote Control Box Set Up Instruction.<br /><br />Good luck.

While you are adjusting the cables, check the gear oil, and try shifting with cable disconnected<br />to verify shift linkage and detent ok.
