Hello. I have a Suzuki DT85 serial 8501 207010 Blue motor. I guess built 1982. The motor is in great shape except it over charges the battery to around 16volts. I have replaced the rectifier/regulator however the problem still exsists. The battery is small, the type on ride on mowers, but it has no trouble starting engine. Is the regulator in the same small 1" square box that the rectifier is? Is there a circuit avialable to track wiring? Suzuki DT85 Overvoltage/charging problem.

hi! i dont think you got any regulator.....just a rectifier.....use a 50 amp or bigger battery who can stand better up to non regulated charging. :)
