At what temperature does a Yamaha's buzzer sound? What is normal running temp?

As I stated in my earlier post, my buzzer sounded today due to a plastic bag, and from Foul Plugs advice I should not worry, but does anyone know the normal running temp for a 130hp Yamaha? What temp causes the alarm, and what temp causes damage?

patrolcarr<Most temp alarms are set to sound well below what would normally cause engine damage.Around 160 -170 .If your water intake was momentarily obstructed with a plastic bag it would tend to damage the waterpump impeller by running dry first. If it was caught quick enough and the waterpump seems to be putting out a steady stream from the tell/tale and engine is running at normal temp I don't think you have any worries.
