I am a novice with a problem with my '87 DT65. It will run fine at idle and will rev freely when I use the fast idle throttle (in neutral). But when I put any load on it in gear, it will bog and die. Fuel filter is new so I know that is not the problem. Any help is much appreciated.<br />J

It does not sound like the fuel pump. If it is the fuel pump pumping the fuel bulb would temporarily help. Most likely it is the carbs. First verify that you have spark on all cylinders. Then if you have spark pull the carbs and do a complete cleaning/rebuild using carb cleaner AND compressed air on all the orifices and jets. Install the rebuild kit parts and set the float height and idle mixture screws to manual specs.
