30 hp Suzuki quits during operation

When cold it starts on the first or second pull and runs great for 15 or 20 minutes - then quits as if it were running out of gas when the tank is half full. A couple squeezes of the ball and it will restart after several pulls. Then runs for a minute or so and quits again. Any thoughts?

Had that problem with an old 85hp merc. Turned out to be a bad fuel connection at the tank.<br />Does the ball go soft on you??

Vacume leak? Bad connection? That sounds right. I spliced in a section of fuel line so I could put the tank up front. At the end of the day I noticed fuel leaking from the spliced area. Didn't notice if the ball went soft or not but I think I'll start fresh with a new ball and line. Thanks for your responses. Dan in Alaska
