Hello All,
My Suzuki Df 15A 4 stroke engine hood has 2 , 1/4 holes drilled in the top of the cover about 6? from the back of the cover. Under ( inside ) the engine cover is a plastic cover 5? x 6? held on by 4 screws. The 1/4 holes on the top go directly into the area under the 5x6 cover. Water from washing down the engine went down the 1/4 holes and leaked through the 5x6 cover on to the engine.
I couldn?t find anything about the engine cover in the Suzuki cd shop manual for this engine and nothing related on the forum here. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks and safe boating everyone

it is best not to blast water into any openings on a cowling.
most have openings to help get air into the cowling for the motor to use, but I do not know anything about your Suzuki motor

Good for you to get a shop manual.
Not sure exactly what your saying, but it sounds like the owner before you drilled holes, for what ever maybe a stern light who knows
I would go to Home depot and get some Dap kitchen and bath caulking its white and fill all holes that aren't being used,we use this everywhere.
