I apologize for the dumb question in advance. I was looking at a 2007 f90. When I tilted the motor back (was stored down) some drive fluid came out just above the prop.

strange that I do not see a question in your post

But if lower unit lube is leaking out you will need to drain it and leak test to see what all is needed, or reseal the whole thing

yes the pic showed up.
are you sure it is lower unit oil and not motor oil?
if it is lower unit oil did you pull the drain to see if water came out?

I'm not sure if it was oil or drive fluid. The boat had been sitting for a year. Assuming a seal went out somewhere.

Maybe wash/clean the lower unit thoroughly with a good detergent/degreaser, then run the motor down the river for a while, pull it out and inspect again. Drain/replace lower unit lubricant to check for water, debris, etc. in old lubricant. You may not even have a problem....a bit of oil on a lower unit is not that unusual.
