1997 50tlhv Yamaha carb adjustment

Hey guys, got a 1997 50hp yamaha that I need to adjust the carbs on, before I got it it had a someone messing with all the linkages and screws. Got the carbs cleaned and linkages lined out, but it's idling really high, it's got a screw in each carb. Could anyone give me an idea where to start. I'm used to car engine carbs, lightly seat then back out 1 1/2-2turns... not sure if these Yamaha carbs would be the same or not. Any help or a procedure would be greay

get a service manual for that motor,
it will have all the specs and procedures for working on the motor.
need to follow the link and sync procedure after installing the cleaned carbs
I do not have a 97 50 so I do not have a manual for it, so not much help
