Could anyone please provide me with the torque specs for the powerhead bolts on a 1990 yamaha 3hp. Thank you very much for any information you can provide me with.

3.6 pound feet and then 8.0 pound feet for the cylinder block and the cylinder head. In the appropriate order of course.

Other fasteners will have different torque specifications. All of which are depicted in your applicable service manual. Since you are doing major work on your motor it appears, certainly you have the manual close at hand.

Thank you. Well I had my manual close at hand before I started the major work. Well it was as close in had as it could of been at my neighbors house but after not being able to get in touch with him to get it back he moved out today without notice while I was at work. I guess I will have to do minor work until I can find another one. He should of taken my motor too.

Boscoe99,
have you had a problem getting into the Yamahaparts forum yesterday and today?
what I see is the domain expired or something like that

No problems at all.

I did hear from the moderator that folks of ill repute are not being allowed to post. I believe she said that folks from Texas fell into the category of ill repute.

I searched and clicked in Yahoo instead of google and that let me in.
then rebooted and that seemed to fix it back to normal

I only dropped by the chicken ranch once way back in the 70s

could not afford to stay very long

But then after being married for 20 years, having kids, and getting a divorse it would have been cheaper I think to have stayed there

As I recall the old saying "if it flies, floats or f___s, it is cheaper to rent than it is to own".
