So this is a first for me, pardon my stupidity here...
New engine this spring, telltale always seemed too hot to me (though never got an overheating alarm), stream was never great.
Problem! Stuck a piece of string trimmer cord in the telltale, couldnt get it in more than a foot. Ran engine, same weak stream. Tried a thinner piece of mono, maybe 60lb, and it fed in a long ways, maybe 4'. Tried to pull it out and it got stuck. Gave it too much force like an idiot and it snapped off inside.
What could it have gotten stuck on and how can i get it out? I didnt run it afterwards, i assume this would not be smart.
