I have a chance to buy a new 2017 Suzuki DT30 (30hp 2-stroke from a dealer in Mexico where I am) with pull start and a tiller. My 14-foot aluminum boat has a steering wheel. I've been told the motor can be converted to remote throttle and gear selector while keeping the rope pull start.
Sounds OK to me but I'm wondering what the experts here think. Is it possible to get rid of the tiller and have remote controls with a rope pull start? Where would the shut-off switch be?
