Suzuki DT30 2012 with electric start. Charging advise please

Hey guys, just bought my first boat ever and it runs a DT30. Now I asked the guy who I bought it off if it charges the battery and he said no. Now to be fair the guy isn't mechanically minded and all he done every month was use a battery charger. Surely there must be a point I can take off to charge. I know it is AC but it must have a rectifier / regulator on this motor?
Can it be done and if so how.

a 2012 DT30 was not listed on a USA parts web site for us to look at.
check at your local Suzuki dealer

It appears that many electric start DT30's sold here in the US came with a rectifier/regulator. It was an option for manual start DT30's. I would be very surprised if a 2012 electric start version of the same model does not have one.
