So I recently bought a 2003 F2.5 and whenever I rev it up it would bog down a bit, however if I pulled out the choke a bit it would be fine. So I took apart the carb and cleaned it out and it was dirty. The fuel filter was a mess, I used some fine wire to clean jet ports and compressed air. seems to be running better but if I pull out the choke 1/4" it runs a bit better, the air screws/ fuel screw. how do I adjust that? It seems to have a brass plate with a small hole in it covering the screw adjuster. do I remove that small cover? does it turn or pull out? Also if it runs a bit better with the choke out just a bit does that mean I need to turn it out(lean) or in (rich). thanks folks, I've run seafoam through it as well to clean any residue on internal workings
