1986 yamaha 115 no fire on #3 cyl.

I recently bought a boat that has a 86 yamaha 115 v4, it has no spark on the #3 cylinder. The coil is good, I can switch the wire that goes to a different coil and it fires. The previous owner said he put a new cdi box on it so what should I be looking for or what do I need to check? Stator? Trigger? Bad connection somewhere? Thanks

I would measure the inputs to the CDI to see if the peak voltages meet spec

Thanks for the reply, I dont have a mnual so I'm not sure how to check or what reading I should be looking for. I used a test light and there is power going in to the power pack but the wire going to the #3 coil is dead. Any help would be appreciated.
