Hey all, I came across a Suzuki DT4 for pennies and have been tinkering with it occasionally. I'm looking to find exactly what seals I need to seal up the lower unit, anyone have part numbers? I looked at the parts diagrams, but can't decide which seals I need.

I also will be replacing the impeller while I have the gearcase down because I currently have nothing coming from the tell tale. Whether the impeller is shot or something is stuck in the tube I guess I will find out. I assume I should replace the wear plate and gasket along with the impeller?

Using Suzuki part numbers I make it two 09282-12008 prop shaft seals, a 09280-49002 "O" ring for the bearing housing, two 09168-10022 drain plug gaskets, two 09282-10008 drive shaft seals (underneath the water pump), one 56132-98610 drive shaft housing gasket and 09280-05008 and 09280-15007 "O" rings for the shift shaft. Sure would of been nice if I could have found a seal kit.
If the wear plate is flat and not scored you could reuse it.

Wear plate and cup are usually in a pump kit along with gaskets and o rings and bolts,
and are a good idea to replace to make sure there are not bad spots and seal properly

Wrench 3 out of curiosity what diagram are you looking at? Do you have a link? And agreed I always though you could purchase the kit, but couldn't find one.
99yam40 I am thinking about just purchasing the whole kit also as I think it's in my best interest to do so.
