Please help. I have a 1995 trxt Yamaha 150 that will only trim down about an inch from the throttle but will trim down on the motor switch. When I bring it all the way up I can lower down about an inch and it stops at the same spot every time.
It sounds kind of like you have a broken wire in the harness were it flexes when the engine tilts. When it stops lowering, get someone to hold the remote switch down while you flex the harness and see if the tilt kicks in.
That was it pushed on the wires and it started working. So I just spliced and ran a jumper wire and everything works as it should. Thank you for the idea. Once again I was over thinking the problem.
