Re: How to remove gearcase on Suzuki DT50?

I know this is an "antique thread," but I am having this same EXACT issue with my DT50 (1979).

"...remove the grommet from the starboard side of the lower support. Insert an appropriate socket wrench and remove the clutch shaft nuts" says the manual, but there is NO grommet I can find anywhere, where removal of which might allow me to insert a socket into something, appropriate or otherwise (snicker).

I took a look at the Browns Point parts diagrams for both the 1984 and the 1977-1979, and while I was able to see the nut in question in both, I don't know how to get to it. Where is the sucker?

Anyone want to wake the dead and resurrect this thread for me?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard. This is your new thread. If you notice the quoted post by fust said this was an old thread. Did you see that he got zero help when he posted in an "antique" thread? Most of us don't look at old threads and if you read the Help Tip on top of the page you will see why. Thanks.
