Suzuki DF140T, Johnson J140PXSR 2004 models identical?

I have a 2004 Johnson 140 4stroke and need the tilt motor, motor from BRP dealer is out of stock, but an online rebuilder has the motor for the Suzuki. The motors looks identical, can anyone tell me for sure that the Suzi motor will work on the Johnny, which is a Suzi motor rebranded?

The guy with the Johnson 140 said the hose is flush out only.

He also said the tell tale hole gets plugged up pretty regularly with algae and other gunk. He keeps a wire on the boat to clean it out when it starts to slow down.

That was supposed to be posted on a different thread, my bad.

The Suzi pump worked fine on the Johnson motor. The price of the Suzi pump was $130, the Johnson motor at the dealer was $510. I did have to put the Johnson plug on the wires.

The Suzi pump wasn't from a dealer, but from a US based Ebay retailer. They are a rebuilder, but this is a new pump.
