I took off the ignition coils and thought I could easily work out how to put them back due to wire lengths - That has not been so easy they seem to be all much the same and I snapped the starter motor main shaft in the process. I am hoping to use a timing light to work out what spark plug lead goes on which cylinder. How can I find out what is the cylinder order for a Yamaha 115hp 1987 model. I then need to know the firing order eg. 1-2-3-4 so I can use a timing light to try to work out what goes where.
I found one post that said the cylinder order is looking from behind the motor 1 top right - 2 tip left 3 bottom right 4 bottom left - can someone confirm this.
Does anyone know an easy way of doing this. All help greatly appreciated
