I have a 1999 Suzuki DT150S that has a bad ECU. Suzuki no longer makes this part so I need to have it rebuilt or if possible purchase a newer model ECU if they are interchangeable. I have had a hard time finding someone that will even look at, let along rebuild the ECU, everyone seems to shy away from Suzuki. Does anyone have any contact information for an electronics company that will rebuild Suzuki ECU's? Any help would be appreciated. Suzuki has me in a bad spot since they no longer make this model/year ECU. My boat is useless un

The problem "rebuilding" such a ECU is not so much the actual parts but the firmware that they used. Parts probably can be replaced, but it will not do anything without the firmware up loaded. So unless a person can down load the original firmware, if that part is not the defective part, how could anybody rebuild a workable unit again. JMHO

So if these cannot be rebuilt, and Suzuki no longer makes an ECU for this model/year, what are my options, other than the obvious by a new motor? Can a newer model ECU be installed, does anyone have a used ECU? Looking for options.

Try Ebay, Craig's List or marine salvage yards.

A couple of questions first. How do you know for certain that your ECU is bad? What is the engine doing or not doing? And did this just start or has it been going bad all along? Is the ECU burnt? Interesting to see your answers.

That would be awesome! Model number is DT150S. Serial number is 031029. Original part# 33920-92E80 which was superseded by part# 33920-92E81.

sorry I forgot to ask him,
I will call him to see what motor he has parts for and get back to you today.
I called and he has parts from a 97,
he thinks it will fit.
I will send you a PM with his e mail address so you can get in touch with him and see what all can be worked out

by the way where are you located?
