Sadly, this awesome engine sank in salt water 2 years ago (along with my boat)...got it running again but after sitting the power trim is not working.
Get the odd little "whirl" from the pump very seldom but no movement; even with weight off pistons. We are going to by pass the solenoid switch to confirm that is not the issue but are thinking the brushes need cleaning in the tilt motor. Since Yamaha doesn't seem to list a 100hp in their manuals and I am not sure they go back to 1989 anyways...can you describe how to easily remove the pump to service it please?
