1998 130 saltwater series knocking

Just filled my tank up a month ago, we put the boat in, started fine, ran perfect for a few minutes then started making a knocking noise and cut off. I started it right back up, ran fine again for a few minutes then did the same thing. Hooked a portable tank with new gas and seemed to run a lot longer but eventually did the same thing. every time it makes the noise and cuts off, I immediately start it back up and it runs fine for a short time. Help!! Checked the oil tank under the hood and it's fine.

Certain props can cause a knocking sound....has yours been changed lately? Have you ever checked or lubricated that driveshaft bushing?... It can cause knocking...
