Not far into my 1[SUP]st[/SUP] carb kit I am stuck on the pilot jets (air). The service manual just mentions them as an item to be removed for full disassembly. The kit I have (Sierra #18-7002) does not have these jets in it to replace.
Of course the things are stuck solid and stripping the brass when I try to unscrew them to clean. Sprayed penetrant, let soak 2 hours and still stuck. After blowing out all the SeaFoam I noticed the jets holes were open as I could see light thru them. Ran some wire thru to clear out any remaining crud and letting them soak now for another removal attempt.
My question: Do I have to remove them if the passages are clear?
I will be searching for already answered similar questions but wanted to ask just in case.
Thank you!
