Yes, but I believe that was a guess on your part, and then you suggested that it was a bad switch, which is impossible since both up & down relays were actuating by the switch.

When I suggested installing the replaced solenoid I backed it up with an explanation as to why.

Once again you do not read anything. OP said the switch on the side of the motor was not working no mention of the other switch not working. So my theory of a switch is valid with the information given. Also I told him to switch the relays 10 posts before you did, all you did was muddy the waters trying to make people look bad so you could take credit for it. To me it looks like your experience was reading post #4. Not hard to be right when someone gives you the answer is it. I am done with this post but I will say this my answer was no guess it's called experience and troubleshooting.

Some people are determined to see if they can actually break their arm patting themselves on the back.
