2010 Suzuki 150 4 Stroke Blow By

Yesterday took my boat out for first trip of year. Has about 180 hours on it. ran about 20 minutes fine then got rough and heard slight clicking. Started smoking, shut down to check. now has excessive blow by. Where do I go from here, what to check. I'm new to the 4 stroke world.

Check compression would be my first step.

When you say blow by,
I take it you have pressure blowing by the rings or through the piston into the crank case, coming out of the oil fill/check dip stick tube.
Is this correct?

If so the power head will need to come off and opened up to see what has happened
