1995 Suzuki DT4 fuel mixture ?

Fuel to oil ratio for a suzuki 4hp 2 stroke. I've been using 50:1 but it smokes like hell and really boggy. Tried a new spark plug but made no difference. I wanted to try a different fuel mix but obviously don't want to damage the motor. I have a few 2 strokes and they are really revvy but this one's definitely not.

I had a very old chain saw that called for 16 to 1.
It ran well even with all that oil so I am sure your problem is not the 50 to1 mix you are running in that DT4

I'm sure your 50-1 two cycle, I'm guessing your problem is a dirty carb(s) and jets remove carb bowl get the largest drill bit that will fit in idle jet,gently clean out idle jet, clean the fuel system,change all on engine fuel filters .

When ever you run a two stroke motor out of the water on muffs, or worse in a container of water like a barrel, Your right,it smokes like hell, and it's a huge oily mess to clean up after. That's what two strokes do, there really nasty.

The only way to get away from two stroke smoke and stink is, Wait for it" WOT"
