I have a 1987 90 horse Yamaha. The trim went out about 2 weeks ago. I ordered a new pump and pulled the motor tonight. Turns out it is NOT the pump. It is a VERY SMALL very simple part that is at the absolute tip of the trim pump output shaft. It seems to me its like a sacrificial shear pin of sorts. it is the size of an almond and basically is an adaptor from the trim pump output shaft to the pump assembly. It is a very small metal piece shaped like a Y (kinda).

Can ANYONE help me track down a schematic that shows this part...my local dealership wasn't much help. I have done some looking and can't find any that break it down to show this piece. It is an essential piece that makes for no uppy downy when its broken.

Experts?

It looks exactly like part #2 here

But it is on a 1987 90ETLH
Part number/source....anything. I just don't want to buy the part above and hope its the right size (i doubt it would be)

Thanks Guys
Rob
