Yamaha outboard water pump issue

I just serviced both water pump on my 2010 Yamaha 90 outboards. No damage to the old ones just hit 500 hrs. I've taken them apart multiple times and am sure all gaskets and keys are in correct place but I can't get engine to **** water. If I idle up in a trash can leg blows bubbles. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome aboard.

Both motors are doing this?

With the motors off and on the muff, is water coming out anywhere?

Check the height of the replacement impeller. I've seen aftermarket impellers mislabeled

you can try the old ones back in to see if that makes a difference to rule that out

Thanks for the pointers. Both motors are not peeing. Prior to putting the new impellers in everything was running strong. Can't be clogged. Old impellers were fine. I'm going to swap them out again. Keep you updated.

Thank you to everyone who responded. Turned out impellers were labelled wrong. Put the right ones in and as good as new. Would have been such an easy job without the mix up. Such is life.
