1994 Yamaha O/B on 19' Whaler. Less than 1200 hrs on engine. With 2 aboard engine runs well to 3800 RPM but surges past that. Yesterday with 8 on board all fine till 3500 RPM and surging after that. Had mate squeeze primer bulb continuously and managed to get to 4000 RPM w/o surging.. Slowed down to crawl for a few mins then hit full throttle. Engine went up to 4800 RPM then started surging after a few minutes.
