I have a 2013 Yamaha T50LA on my pontoon. It came with the standard Yamaha 14x11 three blade prop (6E5-45954-00-00). I've been satisfied with the performance but thanks to an unseen rock at the sandbar this weekend I'm looking to re-prop and move this one to the "spare prop" position.

Yamaha offers an optional 14x11 "Dual Thrust" prop (68S-45941-00-00) and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Are they worth the extra 50 bucks or am I not likely to see much difference in performance?

Thanks,

from what I have read only,
they do a better job when in reverse than a regular prop as regular props do not do much in rewind

Thanks 99. If it's just a matter of better performance in reverse, I'm not sure it would be worth it.
