I have a 1989 Suzuki 65hp with very few hours. According to the Suzuki mechanic who replaced water water pump 2 years ago stated how clean it was. I have always had a problem having it start from a cold start, either at home or at the ramp. Once the boat starts, I have no problem all day long with it starting.
I am mechanically challenged in some areas. I'm curious if there is a trick to help me out. I change plugs every year and run sea foam at the end of the year as well. The primer ball is hard when I attempt to start it. Anything will help. Thanks

Start with the obvious, remove the carb cover and make sure the choke butterflies are completely closing when you push in the ignition key from the run and start position. You should also be raising the fast idle lever a couple inches until it warms up.
