We have a Chaparral 225 Sonesta Extrerme with a 5.7. Can the oil pan be removed without pulling the engine? It has developed a rust hole and is leaking. I can do the work myself if I don't have to pull the engine otherwise it will have to go to the shop. Thanks.

You can pull motor in a couple hours. It's so much easier than a car. Search the net, or better yet download a manual. No special tools needed. Like bondo say's there is no room. If your trim gauge needs replacing, this is also the time to do it. Pull the risers, and manifolds and check or replace them. I also clean the bilge like new. Dave-R
