VP 270 - PDS bearing stuck on shaft

1978 Volvo Penta 270

I have spent hours reading up on the R&R of the pds bearing, but I'm stuck now. The front and aft seals are out, the pds shaft and pds bearing are out. I removed (broke) the small snap ring on the shaft at the bearing, but cannot remove the bearing from the shaft.

The bearing is pressed on the shaft but not super tight. If the small snap ring is off, its just a matter of driving the bearing off the shaft. If you have a piece of pipe that fits over the shaft, that may be the ticket. good luck
