My new to me boat with a 5.7 GXi has fresh water cooling. It's a factory system with a verticaly mounted heat exchanger that is down low on the STBD side of the motor. My question is how does this system get filled? I don't see a cap on the exchanger. Does it get filled via the expansion tank? Don't believe draining it will be an issue. I have a SELOC manual but it's very vague in this area and have been unable to download the VOLVO manuals from here thus far. Thanks for the help.
