What kind of oil filter can I use for 1986 Volvo Penta 225E 205CID?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Is it block mounted, or remote mounted,..??

I run Napa filters, which are rebadged Wix, some of the best in the world,....

The block mounted filter is Napa, #1036,...

The remote mounted Merc.s use the standard Chevy filter, Napa #1086,....

Not sure on yer Volvo,....

Ayuh,... Then scratch the 1036 number, that's for the 4.3l motor only,... I just read it as 205hp, not cid,...

A 305 will use the #1086 for a block mounted filter,....

The 86 came with the filter on the bottom of the block(changed hundreds).
The standard Chevy v-8 long or short filter will work.
