I'm getting my 2006 Four Winns ready to put away for the winter. The engine is a Volvo Penta GXI-E. It has 300 hrs on it so I figured new plugs are in line this time. I pulled an original and it was an AC 41-932. I found out that the 41-932 has switched to a 41-993. No problem except I noticed after I purchased them that these are iridium plugs. I have no problem putting iridium in but I want to know that its safe. Also, the box says to gap to manufacturers recommendations. The 41-932's were supposed to be gapped at .060. Will this be the same for the iridium?

You'll have no problem at all using that iridium plug #41-993 for your engine model and the gap will remain the same at .060. Sometimes you'll get lucky and they'll be pre gapped to .060 already which would be nice so you have less chance at damaging them should you have to re gap them. Be sure to see this how to video before gapping the iridium plugs.

The 41-993's that I bought say Iridium Spark Plug right on the box.
Never even paid attention to this but I see the old number 41-932 is platinum and the new number 41-993 is iridium.

If you search the 41-993 it comes up either or depending on where you look. But like you say the box says what it is.

The platinum 932's had a problem of breaking down early (low hours) causing a backfire type sound in many engine models prompting the need for the 993's which will last longer provided you don't develop a water leak that would rust up the outside of the plug making it difficult to remove the plug over time.
